they think success will come at every turn.
Bribery does seem like a way to magically fix all your problems. If you have money, you pay someone to be quiet, to destroy evidence, give you a good business deal, or to go away. But have you watched any movies where bribery worked out? That it was a successful business strategy? Nope. Either the briber is found out and legal consequences take place or the people taking bribes decide they want more and “take it by force.” Bribes are not a good plan. But a fool wouldn’t agree with me on that.
